1.8 Changes (6/1/2020):

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed display of high scores by points.
  • Fixed doing Test Level with IP addresses with .0. in it.
  • Fail quicker if can’t get test level (gives up after 4 seconds).
  • Fixed crash when trying to move bear when off the top of the screen.
  • Fixed problem with lasers pointing to right past the right side of the level.
  • Fixed bunny getting stuck going up ladder through portal.
  • ​Fixed restart level bug (again).

1.7 Changes (5/26/2020):

New Features:
  • Community Levels added (1 for now). (not available in Candy Bear 2 Free)
  • Two hardest Master levels moved to new "Insane" category.
  • Added a “Create Level” section to make it easier to make levels.
  • ​When you finish a test level, provide an option to share level with the community.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed some issues displaying the high scores.
  • When doing “New Game” from Bonus Level, go to Bonus Level selection screen.
  • Fixed “Retry Level” on bonus level (it would previously go to first level started).
  • ​Fixed a problem with score total for levels with multiplier stars (older scores are fixed as well).


1.6 Changes (5/19/2020):

New Features:

  • Added Premium bonus levels (not available in Candy Bear 2 Free).
  • Moved Laser levels to Medium, Hard, and Expert.
  • Separate high scores for campaign, bonus, and premium levels.

Bug Fixes:
  • Don’t let bunny walk on top of dead bunny.
  • Fixed problem with bear not automatically latching onto bar when on vertical moving platform

​1.5 Changes (4/20/2020):
New Features:
  • Display “New Best Score” if you get the best score on a Master bonus level (even if you don’t complete it).
  • Instant replay button on completion dialog (if “Try Again” is available) retries level.
  • Display average stars per level.
  • Added lasers.
  • Added score multiplier.
  • Added new “Lasers” bonus level section.

Game Play and Level fixes and changes:
  • Fixed problem with items sometimes being drawn in wrong place after bear dies.
  • Fixed problem with bunny on ladder only going one direction if given a choice between going left or right (depending on bar, brick, etc.).
  • Fixed scaredy bunny so it doesn’t fall onto bar.
  • Bear on moving platform will now open gate (if it has key).
  • Fixed a bug where bunnies wouldn’t stack vertically.

Other Bug Fixes and changes:
  • Pressing BACK on high score name screen still saves high score now.
  • Handle high score server being down so that you don’t get stuck on “Loading…” screen.

1.4 Changes (2/12/2020):

  • If you get 2 or 3 stars, show required score to get 3 or 4 stars.
Game Play and Level fixes and changes:
  • Scaredy bunny no longer falls onto door.
  • Fixed bug with bunny getting stuck between crate and ladder.
  • Fixed problem with bunny running in place next to crate if bear is moving on same row.
  • Fixed problem walking over a stationary bunny in a hole where hole also has something else (like a coin, candy, or door).
  • Increased level 96 bonus timer.
  • Fixed problem with jumping up into portal (would jump back if you held UP button too long).
  • Increased likelihood of bunny to go left/right from ladder.
Other Bug Fixes and changes:
  • Removed “Best” text, which was confusing.
  • Right justified high scores text.
  • Fixed problem with completion dialog after finishing last master bonus level.

1.3 Changes (1/20/2020):

Game Play and Level fixes and changes:
  • Reverted change so that bear is once again immovable when on same block as horizontal moving platform. Change was causing too many other problems.
  • ​Fixed bug with moving platform going past bar.

Other Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed display of player in high scores if displaying by stars instead of levels.

  • Increased bonus timer on level 115 by 2 minutes.
  • Increased bonus timer on level 118 by 5 minutes.
  • Fixed bug where smart bunny on a moving platform could sometimes walk through walls (seen on level 109).
  • Bunnies no longer stop horizontal moving platforms.
  • Bear no longer becomes immovable when on same block as horizontal moving platform.
  • Bunny no longer gets stuck on crate on ladder.
  • ​Scaredy bunny is no longer stationary when on moving platform.

Other bug fixes:
  • Fixed low memory crash due to screen backgrounds
  • Fixed screensaver crash after network error on launch.
  • Fixed low memory crash on entry.
  • Fixed crash when updating bonus timer.
  • ​Fixed bug trying to extend moving platform from far right to far left of next row.

1.1 Changes (1/6/2020):

  • If you get 4 stars, displays the score required for 5 stars.

  • Gate no longer opens too soon when going up ladder.
  • Increased Level 91 bonus timer from 4 to 7 minutes.
  • Fixed bug with bunny jumping across hole.
  • Fixed bug with scaredy bunny turning around when on top of crate or spring.
  • Bunnies can no longer walk on top of 1-way gates.
  • Fixed problem with bunnies moving left/right getting out of sync (top left of level 44).
  • Increased bear and fast bunny speed on HD devices
  • Reduced shield and candy bar boost times on HD devices to match FHD devices.
  • Reduced jumping height on HD devices to match FHD devices.
  • Sped up collision detection.
  • Optimized drawing to increase frame rate on slower devices.
  • Fixed problem with bunny sometimes briefly running in place next to crate or spring.
  • Fixed problem with mines and platforms sometimes going too far into ladders and bars, killing bunnies.
  • Fixed problem with bunnies being hard to kill by falling platforms.
  • Fixed bug with speed-boosted bear not entering portal on far right.
  • Removed heart from level 106 that made the level harder than intended.


Other bug fixes:
  • Fixed bug with level 37 and 40 star count.
  • Fixed problem with showing wrong stars after completing a level.
  • Fixed bug where bonus level complete dialog would say “New Best Score” when it shouldn’t (and not when it should).
  • Fixed logging of level completions.
  • Don’t display “Restart Level” as an option in options dialog after completing a level.
  • If you choose “Save and Exit”, remember how many levels you’ve completed, so it shows correct number in high scores.
  • Pressing * no longer messes up star display on level selection screen.
  • Try Again after bonus level no longer goes to wrong level (if you solved more than one)
  • When testing a level with the level editor, don’t clear out current game progress.
  • Preserve last level on level selection screen when you press BACK.
  • Added low memory check in level selection screen.
  • Fixed occasional crash playing a sound.
  • Fixed crash when trying to test level without running level editor.
  • Fixed low memory crash with dialog background.
  • Fixed crash pressing Instant Replay button on initials screen.
  • Don’t add bonus timer score to tutorial levels.
  • Fixed a crash when trying to start a new game without finishing the first level.
  • Fixed problem with wide level briefly being displayed with wrong offset.
  • Fixed to show 100 instead of 99 high scores.
  • Fixed level memory leak (especially when doing Restart Level).
  • Free version: added “Loading…” screen for levels (instead of displaying black screen).
  • Update high scores when finishing a level.
  • Fixed problem with playing level complete sound after displaying ad.
  • Don’t show ad before level complete dialog.
